Environmental and Sustainable Development Department
As part of TUI Travel PLC, Pacific World applies environmental and sustainable best practices followed by the group’s Environmental and Sustainable Department: cutting consumption, using resources responsibly, promoting and helping local culture and taking part in actions and initiatives to preserve nature and encourage environmental awareness.
The Environmental and Sustainable Department works together with local bodies at the various destinations in which it operates. The main aim is to foster environmental quality in the hotel business, to reward outstanding achievement by hotels and to offer them efficient management tools in cooperation with industry professionals.

Holding a congress or an event always entails a ‘carbon footprint’: the resources used in preparation and the waste generated affect the environment to a greater or lesser extent. Sustainable events seek to minimise that impact, either by using fewer resources or by generating less waste.
