Programme at the RAWR Awards for the Third Time
“Connecting Young Leaders” Event Chosen by a Panel of Industry Experts
SINGAPORE (December 15, 2017) –
Pacific World – one of the world’s leading global destination and event management companies – recently won Best Incentive Programme at the rAWr Awards – for its “Connecting Young Leaders” event in Malaysia. The rAwr Awards is a biennial recognition and tribute to outstanding achievements in the Meetings, Incentive, Convention and Exhibition industry in Malaysia.
“Pacific World Malaysia is thrilled to accept this year’s RAWR award which brought together young leaders to collaborate about the sustainable future development of the South East Asian region,” said Catherine Chong, Country Manager Pacific World Malaysia. “Our team ensured that the event and local experiences left a positive impact.”
The event took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and was attended by 500 young leaders from South East Asia including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, Brunei, Myanmar, Cambodia, the Philippines and Malaysia. While implementing a tech savvy environment, Pacific World also incorporated local elements of the destination, with a “Color of Malaysia” themed Gala dinner with local cultural and ethnic performances.
Social media interaction was encouraged with a Social Media Kiosk, featuring news updates, photo opportunities with creative design cut-outs, backdrops and photo booth, a designated spot for interviews and cool Chill Out Corners with bean bags. One of the important points of the program was to generate a positive impact and engage in corporate social responsibility activities with the local communities. Participants volunteered in a mangrove cleaning activity, a beach clean-up experience. The group also spent time preparing and serving breakfast for the homeless,
This is Pacific World Malaysia’s third RAWR recognition, with additional awards in 2013 and 2015. The destination and event management company has a strong presence in Malaysia, with experience in destinations like Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu and Penang offering a myriad of distinct destinations and multicultural flavors to design incredible events inspired by local culture.
