In 2010, as part of a grand expansion plan in to Asia, Fairmont Hotels will launch the brand in China with 2 new hotel openings in Beijing and Shanghai.

The beautifully restored historic Peace Hotel, has been a Shanghai landmark for over a century. In Beijing, the brand new 25-story Fairmont Beijing will feature 235 spacious guestrooms, restaurants and bars including a library lounge, function space together with a multi-purpose theatre, and a 1000 square meter Willow Stream Spa offering fitness facilities and a swimming pool. Enjoying a premier downtown location, the hotel will be nearby well-known landmarks such as the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and Tiananmen Square.
