Singapore's First Integrated Resort is Open!

The race is over - Resorts World Sentosa has beaten Marina Bay Sands to the finishing post! Singapore has long been anticipating the arrival of the two new integrated resorts, which have been battling it out to be the first to open and Resorts World is the winner, soft opening four out of six planned hotels in January and opening its casino for business on 14th February, the first day of the lunar new year.

One of the world’s most extensive and expensive integrated resorts at US$4.4 billion, it has opened 1,340 of its planned 1,840 room inventory, the remainder of which will open after 2010. Universal Studios is set to open its rides in the coming weeks, boasting 16 new rides and in 2011, the resort will be home to the world’s largest oceanarium, with all sorts of activities and attractions to experience.

Resorts World has brought a new dimension to Sentosa Island, Singapore’s incentive isle, just 20 minutes from downtown, opening up huge hotel and meeting space inventory for resort-based conferences and incentives, just a short hop from the city. So you can really enjoy city and beach in one compact destination.

Pacific World Singapore organised one of the first large social functions at Universal Studios on 4th May for over 800 guests, taking over the entire park exclusively.
