Singapore welcomes MBS - 2nd integrated resort in 2010

Pacific World was delighted to welcome the opening of Marina Bay Sands, Singapore's second integrated resort, on 27th April, just in time to welcome its first scheduled event - 800 delegates handled by Pacific World on 2nd May.

The four day conference focused on climate change and welcomed keynote speakers such as Al Gore, and Singapore's Minister Mentor, Lee Kwan Yew.

Social events included a prestigious dinner at the official presidential residence, The Istana, and a casual themed evening at the newly opened Universal Studios, part of Resortsworld, Singapore's first integrated resort which opened in February.

Marina Bay Sands is located in the heart of the Singapore CBD and just 20 minutes from Singapore Changi Airport, Marina Bay Sands will continue to open progressively over the course of 2010. The venue now includes 963 hotel rooms, a shopping mall, convention centre, some restaurants and bars, the Event Plaza and casino. On June 23, the remainder of the property’s 2,560 guest rooms, more shops from leading retailers, additional dining options and exciting nightlife will open.

The awe-inspiring Sands SkyPark, situated 60 stories above the ground and perched atop the property’s three hotel towers, will also debut on June 23. The SkyPark will have capacity for 3,900 people and will feature idyllic landscaped gardens, swimming pools linking the hotel towers, as well as luxury rooftop restaurants and lounges.
